Probably best you read the Pool Safety Sign next to the pool before enjoying a swim. For additional safety please switch off the pool pump, if it happens to be on, by pushing the yellow button on the side of the car port right near the Pool. You can assist us by switching it back on after swimming by twisting the same button.
Wombats love to Dig,Dig,Dig and they love to make their home under your house. Combined, it can spell disaster for your home. To protect JV House, it has a special electric fence just for wombats like farmers use for their cows. Only this fence is tiny and runs around the house at ground level under the deck. It's not dangerous but it will give you a very quick 3/10,000 sec pulse if you do touch it.
It's on a timer, switched off during daylight hours.
See, Your Stay/FAQ for more info.
For everyone's protection there are security cameras on the property. They are all external and for your privacy they face away from the house and pool. Note: The Security Cameras have been disabled by removing the Security Hub physically from the House Network. No viewing or recording is ever possible. Any security cameras on the property are effectively dummy cameras that do not work! The Doorbell on the house is fitted with a Camera but its view is away from the house and only the entry path is in its field of view.
We are very proud of our Fire Pit area but due to the risk of Bushfire, the Pit cannot be lit during the Bushfire danger period, 1st October to the 31st of March, or any other time where the risk of fire is elevated. This area during Summer is ideal for Stargazing at night or Lunch during the day.
JV House sits in an elevated position so it can get windy sometimes. To help protect the house, entry doors have been fitted with self closers. To help protect the rest of the house from the wind and dust it's requested that most windows be kept closed, this also, of course, helps the Air Conditioning efficiency too. The Long Room is mostly protected when it's windy, so here, feel free to open the windows and doors at will.
